Accessible Website Template Creation

Project: Develop "Accessible" templates for a new website design to achieve RNIB accreditation.

Special Features: The website was redesigned to match the current corporate identity and to make the site compliant with current best practices for Accessibility, in particular it was decided that the site should be audited for compliance with the RNIB "See it Right" accessibility campaign. The site achieved the required RNIB certification.

The site scooped top marks in an independent review of the UK’s 50 fastest-growing large law firms. It was ranked top for the design of its homepage and achieved second position in the overall design category. The site was independently scrutinised on a total of 50 criteria and scored well across all four main categories - usability, design, content and marketing - to achieve joint tenth position in the final list, making it the only "big-four" Scotland-based firm to reach the top 20. The website scored an impressive 96 per cent for its website’s design, after being highly rated for fundamentals such as clarity of text, colour and use of images.

This year Maclay Murray & Spens LLP (MMS) is the only Scottish-headquartered law firm to be short-listed for an award and has been nominated in three out of five awards: Overall, Design and Marketing.
