The Multiweb platform was developed to provide a common core platform to drive multiple websites. Each website can share core product data from the parent buying group, while allowing individual sites to have completely independent design layout and graphics, their own private products and individual prices and product codes and prices per site.

The product catalogue is defined into 5 levels of groupings:

• Product Section
• Product sub-section
• Product Group
• Product
• Product Variants

Additionaly, products may be sold as single items or in packs.

We built an incredibly flexible discounting system which can be applied by each website owner to allow discounts at multiple levels. This can be at each of the levels of the product catalogue and additionally by manufacturer, or by customer. This handles multiple discounts applied at differing levels to give the cheapest single discount price, avoiding applying multiple discounts to the same item.

Once the core engine was complete, we were able to deliver 16 individual websites in just 4 weeks, delivering 4 websites each week from Photoshop visual to complete, live, tested websites.
